ALEXANDRIA, La. —
The Louisiana Baptist Foundation Board of Trustees met on March 3, 2026, to conduct the business of the Foundation. New board members, Brandon Langley and Kirk Jones, were recognized before Dr. Will Hall, executive editor of the Baptist Message, provided a devotional message that encouraged the Board to turn every “daily bread” moment into a “bread of life” moment.
Investments and Operations
Representatives from Graystone Consulting presented their report to the Board, highlighting the Foundation’s overall growth in its investments, ongoing adherence to its investment policies, and discussing market forecasts for the remainder of the year. Chase Burns, the Foundation’s Associate Director, reported that the Foundation’s assets under management have exceeded $314 million, and celebrated that the Foundation’s short term fund and group investment fund have continued to yield incredible payouts for churches and other ministries. Jared Price, the Foundation’s Executive Director, reported that the Foundation’s operational expenses remained within budget, internal reserves were strengthened, and $40,126 was transferred to the Cooperative Program Endowment from its year-end surplus.
Strategic Plan and Other Business
Price also reported on the Foundation’s progress toward its strategic plan: to advance the Kingdom by $200 million or more in 20 years or less by facilitating gifts, managing money, and providing other services that strengthen Louisiana Baptist churches and ministries. He noted that since July 2020, the Foundation has helped to advance the Kingdom by over $106 million. “We’re incredibly grateful for the trust placed in us by Louisiana Baptists to manage assets and facilitate gifts that have resulted in this significant Kingdom-impact,” said Price. After handling various administrative matters, the Board concluded its meeting with a recognition of outgoing board member Ben Stewart.
